The Pennsylvania Department of Education, Bureau of Special Education is pleased to announce the following conference opportunity: Title:  2010 National Autism Conference

Location:  The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel -State College, Pennsylvania
Description:   This conference provides comprehensive, evidence-based information to assist educators, providers, and families in developing effective educational and therapeutic programming for all students with autism spectrum disorders.

Credit:  Act 48, ASHA, BACB & Psych

Fees
Pennsylvania education professionals: $150 for entire conference
Other Pennsylvania professionals: $200 for entire conference
Out-of-state professionals: $225 for entire conference
One-day fee: $75
Pennsylvania family members or adults living with ASD: $25 for entire conference
Non-Pennsylvania family members or adults living with ASD: $50 for entire conference
Pennsylvania (mother/father) requesting Continuing Education Credits: $100

Various sessions will be available to view live from your computer.  
Webcast OPTIONS:
Register for a maximum number and type of CEUs offering during the National Autism Conference for flat fee of $300, which allows you watch any and/or all of the session offerings happening live. Preregistration is required. The following CEUs may be earned: Act 48, up to 27; ASHA, up to 2.4; BACB, up to 23.5; Psych, up to 26.

Watch any or all of the session offerings free of charge if not seeking to obtain CEUs. No registration is required.

One-day special education law and advocacy programs focus on four areas:
 
special education law, rights and responsibilities
tests and measurements to measure progress & regression
SMART IEPs
introduction to tactics & strategies for effective advocacy


Wrightslaw programs are designed to meet the needs of parents, educators, health care providers, advocates and attorneys who represent children with disabilities regarding special education. The program is not disability specific.
